We came to visit Raahe with my girlfriend Nina. I have this habbit of trashing through my parent's computer when ever I visit them. Last time I brought them a gigabyte of RAM, a new LCD and a better graphics card. This time I simply tried to install the Live Messenger, which was kinda pain in the ass since the WGA on this pc had gone bonkers. After a lenghty battle I defeated ms, made a video call to the US and found this great vid from the computer.
Otto works in Garage, the teen bar capital of Oulu. He's a great bartender noneoftheless. I quess. The only person we pitied more at the bar was the groupier at the blackjack table.
Happened to walk by this accident tonight. Firemen were removing patients from a totalled taxi. Ever thought taxi drivers drive a little too fast? Didn't see what the Taxi had collided with and the local papers don't seem to write about these accidents, so no idea what had happened. Learned a couple of things about my phone as well. You got to be really close to what you're filming and it is impossible to switch off the filming light on the phone. So no filming secretly in the dark, the light goes on on the Auto-setting when it's dark and Night-setting keeps it permanently on.
Language students beat some other student in the traditional Oulu University's sledge championships. Sure it was just the first round but a historical first round without a doubt. No one can remember the last time we weren't dead fucking last. Edit: A student working on her PhD had a vague memory of Verba's team winning some time near the beginning of the century.
My sister drives two to three times a week 75 kilometers to the University in Oulu. Here we are passing Revonneva which is something like the biggesta swamp in Skandinavia+Finland=Fennoskandia.
I posted earlier some videos from the Guild of Humanities' 25th anniversary party. This one is from a day earlier, when M.A.Numminen and Pedro Hietanen played a gig at 45 Special to celebrate the same anniversary. The actual video is Numminen's speech about the importance of studying humanities. Sadly, majority of the crowd was something else altogether than humanities students.
Video conferencins's a bitch. This fun costs around 50€ an hour.
Built me a new sidearm for indoor games. First time chrono.
